Dantedì – a day to celebrate Dante Alighieri

For the first time, today is the day dedicated to Dante Alighieri, called Dantedì.

The Italian Government  has established this day in order to celebrate the poet Dante Alighieri as a symbol for the Italian culture and Italian language.

In the Divine Comedy Dante to explain the mystery of the birth of the human soul, evokes the transformation of grapes into wine (Purgatorio, XXV, 76-78 “and why not wonder at my word, look at the warmth of the sun, that wine, Joined in the humor stuff that flows from the vine. ”
